Dollar SCORE

Tuesday, October 23, 2012

It's been a while since my last SCORE post. Well I'm in the middle of a financial crunch at the moment, but that doesn't mean I can't find a good SCORE here and there. Recently I visited two different dollar store's. One where everything was a buck, and a Dollar General where everything is ridiculously cheap.

I actually scored some cool stuff, see below. As always click for a bigger picture.

Thin Plastic Zombie Mask. Brought to us by the fine Mexican company El Cheapo
My two Terrifying Sons modeling them

They had these cool Masked Luchador toys for a buck a piece
Check out the Mexi-Mullet!
This Werewolf bust was in the Halloween section and called for
me to buy him.
--------------------

So the Dollar General had a bin of movies, I actually found some decent stuff for $3
a piece!

Love Ranch
The Crazies (2010)

Survival Of the Dead

So why so cheap? Take a look at the copy above the bar code it says:
"Previously Viewed"
They're all Ex-Rentals!
Book: Prison Ship by Michael Bowers

So why buy a book from the dollar store, I mean how good could it be?
Well it hearkens back to the day of the dime store novel, that and
as my son pointed out the guy on the cover is holding a badly painted "NERF" gun you can
get at Toy's R Us!

SCORE: Vans and Hellcats

Monday, May 7, 2012

The end of last week I bought some stuff online, the first of that stuff came in today. Have a look.

I'm just about ready to start tearing into my van, so what better place to
find inspiration for a custom interior than Van magazines from the
70's? I got these on ebay as usual, they sold for their normal going price
between $ 8- $10. I only buy four of these at a time. I just can't justify
spending $50 on magazines at any given time.

The MPC Sunrunner Model Kit. It's a 1977 Ford just like mine!

Scored this from an amazon.com marketplace
seller for $5, sealed.

Media Storage

Thursday, February 16, 2012

What would you take with you, if you were going to be away from all your stuff for at least a year? I was faced with that questions when it was decided I would be spending some time with my parents three states away from my old house. I took a couple of books I was in the middle of reading, and some I planned to read. Same thing with DVDs and Blu Rays. When I got to my new place my mom surprised me with an empty bookcase.

I filled the bottom shelf about halfway with my stuff, but over the course of the last six months it's been getting pretty filled. I don't have a "before" picture but this is its current state.

I have taken (blurry) pictures of each shelf click each one for a description of what's stored on each one.

Shelf 2

Recent Downloads

I review a lot of stuff I download, I don't always link to where I downloaded it. The main reason is the fact that most of the download links I originally got the stuff from has expired and no longer works. Below is some stuff I've downloaded lately and really enjoyed, this time I've added the links to the websites where you can download this stuff.

Classic JDM: Update

Friday, January 13, 2012

Since my last post on Classic JDM Cars I have received in the mail a couple of more Classic Japanese Car items. The first is issue 1-3 of Japanese Nostalgic Car available here. This really is a great read, tons of photo's and interesting pieces. Well worth the cheap price.

Next up is the professionally produced DVD of 2007 JCCS event coverage. Tons of beautifully restored and modified classic JDM cars on U.S. soil! Awesome DVD, get it here
